How does e-invoicing work?

We’ll explain eFaktúra, Peppol and SOFTIP Digital Postman to you without any complicated definitions. It’ll only take 3 minutes and you’ll learn everything you need to know.

How it works

What is an electronic invoice?

An e-invoice is not a PDF sent by email. It is a structured electronic document that systems process automatically – without the need for manual transcription and without errors.

What is Peppol?

„Peppol is like email address for invoices.“

Just as an email delivers a message to anyone in the world, Peppol delivers an invoice to any business – securely and in a standard format. Your Peppol ID is like your email address, but for handling invoices.

What role does SOFTIP Digital Postman play here?

SOFTIP Digital Postman is your gateway to the Peppol network.
We’ll take care of dispatch, delivery and all the legal formalities.

Does your company not have an ERP solution from SOFTIP? Never mind.
SOFTIP Digital Postman operates independently via the web, regardless of which ERP system you use. We simply provide you with a web interface for Peppol.

How to choose and order
SOFTIP Digital Postman

The whole process consists of two parts. First, you select SOFTIP as your provider on the FS SR portal, then you complete your registration with us. The whole process will take you about 10 minutes.

Part 1

Choosing a provider

The Financial Administration’s official app for selecting a certified delivery service provider.

Log inUsing the same login details as you use to access the Personal Online Portal: via slovensko.sk (chip ID card, Slovensko v mobile) or your username and password. Select a taxpayerFrom the list of entities on whose behalf you are authorised to act. The system will automatically fill in the company registration number, VAT number and address.

Condition: VAT number assigned and notified Without it, the portal will halt the selection process with a message stating that the entity does not have a registered and notified VAT number. If your company does not yet have one, you must first obtain it from the tax office. See the FAQs for more information

Please enter your contact detailsAn email address and telephone number in international format are required, e.g. +421 9xx xxx xxx. This information is essential for activating the service.

Consent to the sharing of dataConsent for the portal to pass on your company’s data to SOFTIP. The selection cannot be completed without clicking the ‘Allow’ button.

Check and submitCheck the summary of the data for both the data subject and the provider, then click ‘Continue’. You will receive confirmation in your message inbox in the Personal Online Zone.

Please note: if you are not registered via SDP If you have not registered via SDP, you will receive an email containing a link to complete your registration.

Part 2

Registration with SOFTIP

We will send a link to register for the SOFTIP Digital Postman service to the email address you provided on the portal.
